Accounting Generalist  (Full Time)
Department: Accounting

Pay: $18-21/hr depending on experience and education.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Homemakers is looking to expand our Accounting Department. You are an essential part of the Accounting function and counted on to be able to provide an overall positive experience.You are part of the corporate area that fosters a team environment.You take initiative, have strong assessment skills, provide feedback for your team and are adaptable to the ebbs and flows of the day-to-day business. You maintain employee and customer confidence and protect all operations by keeping information

Job Duties:

• General knowledge on both accounts payable processes and accounts receivable processes.
• Excel knowledge a must. Ability to create and modify excel analysis sheets.
• Ability to conceptualize reports and pull the necessary information
• Ability to multi-task and operate multiple programs at the same time.
• Ability to complete assigned projects with minimal supervision
• Ability to track and balance multiple projects, with multiple data points
• Attention to detail extremely important
• Ability to work with others, other departments, vendors, etc.
• Good customer service when dealing with customers or vendors
• Follow all operational and safety procedures
• Cross training in the department to assist with other areas when needed.
• The above responsibilities and additional duties may vary as assigned

Job Requirements:

• High School or GED
• 2-3 years of experience with Microsoft Excel/Outlook
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of accounting basics
• Typing skills of 35 net wpm
• Data Entry skills of 60 kpm

• Working knowledge with accounting software and Excel

Physical expectations:

• Extended sitting at desk and use of computer
• Occasional standing and bending
