Human Resources Administrative Assistant (Full Time)

HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
REGULAR FULL TIME - $17.50 - $25.00/HR
Office Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00pm
Position Summary:Responsible for a broad range of supportive administrative duties within the human resources department. Duties are varied and require excellent computer skills. Very fast paced and must be able to start and stop projects and shift directions.
Essential Functions:
- Data entry in HRMS-Sage/Sage 100 and Ceridian Dayforce
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Assist team members with reports and the development of forms
- Supporting the on-boarding process
- Responsible for the employee discount card inventory, activation and deactivation card
- Company uniform inventory control and distribution
- Answers frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies, and benefits
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR documents with supervisor to update
- Assist with the administrative support of other HR disciplines throughout the department.
- Takes the lead with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Exit interviews for all terminated employees for each assigned location
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an administrative role.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in human resources or equivalent work
- Minimum two years proven ability to effectively interact with a diverse workforce.
- Some experience on a Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and/or payroll system.
Skills:
- Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple
- Must be able to competently use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Must be able to do basic math (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
Language Skills:
- Bilingual, English/Spanish is a required.
- Ability to read, analyze, comprehend, and interpret general State and Federal laws, and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees.
