Front End Store Lead (Full Time)

FRONT END STORE LEAD
Regular Full Time - $23.00-27.00/HR
SHIFTS: ALL SHIFTS -Complete Open Availability -Weekends Required
Position Overview:As a Front End Store Lead you will play a vital role in creating a positive lasting impression for our customers shopping experience by working closely with management and the store staff to ensure consistency in the overall operation of the store. You will be required to assist the Customer Service Managerin overseeing all aspects of the front end, directing the work of the front end and custodian staff and overseeing the whole store operations and departments when all upper management is out of the store. You are required to provide exceptional customer service and serve as a checker as scheduled or needed. You will be responsible for oversight of the daily schedule, break and lunch schedules, assign tasks to employees, be responsible for accurate accounting of pulls/loans and verification of tills. You will be required to complete accident paperwork and address employee and customer injuries in a professional manner. While performing these duties you will maintain a positive customer service experience as well as uphold a positive company image by providing considerate, friendly and efficient customer service to our customers.
Essential Functions:
- Perform all duties and responsibilities of a Checker
- Act as a liaison between staff and management
- Support the 2ndAssistant Store Director with all departmental functions
- Uphold company and department policies and operating requirements
- Oversee the Front End, resolve customer service issues and produce reports daily when necessary
- Maintain a positive environment for employees and customers while supporting company culture
- Field customer comments and complaints and follow through for customer satisfaction
- Direct work of checkers, utility clerks and custodian staff and ensure break and meal schedules are followed in compliance with State and Federal laws
- Accurate handling of money including safe, loan/pulls, authorize credit card and check transactions, maintain accurate cash drawer setup funds, and process and approve returns, exchanges, credits, overrides, etc.
- Be aware of new items and their location
- Provide support and aid to other departments as needed and provide oversight when all management is out of the store
- Complete gift cards sales to customers when required
- Open and close the department and store according to standard procedures
- Make sure all cases and shelves are clean, well-stocked and properly rotated as well as making sure that all back stock supply areas are adequately maintained
- Perform proper care and maintenance of all equipment and immediately report any safety violation and hazards as well as maintain department security
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Skills & Qualifications:
- Cashier experience
- Conveys enthusiasm and can lead, direct, motivate and inspire others to excel in all aspects of the Front End functions
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Great interpersonal skills necessary for good customer and employee relations
- Problem solving skills and ability to multitask
- Self-motivated, proactive and solutionoriented
- Able to delegate tasks and responsibilities as well as prioritize under constantly changing needs
- Detail oriented
- Have a strong basis in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
- Possess knowledge of basic computer skills
- Able to make effective decisions under time constraints
- Dependable and reliable to work shifts as scheduled
- Ability to solve customer request/needs and answer employee questions
- Handle customer/employee accident reports
- Advanced product knowledge and knowledge of other departments and store layouts
- Ability to move quickly and efficiently throughout the department
