WELLNESS CLERK 3
Regular Full Time -$17.50 - 19.50/HR
SHIFTS:Evening/Closing-Weekends Required
Position Overview:As the Wellness Department Clerk you will serve in a customer service and stocking position to support the overall goals of the Wellness Department.
Essential Functions:
- Provide excellent customer service
- Perform tasks to maintain the daily operations of the department
- Assist Wellness Manager with inventory control and overall profitability of the department
- At the discretion of the Wellness Manager, may order and replenish products to maintain proper product assortment and inventory control
- Build, merchandise and maintain displays
- Assist in achieving required sales margin, expense and labor targets
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Basic knowledge of vitamins, supplements, skin care, and body care
- Knowledge of current trends in natural and conventional supplements and body care
- Strong organizational skills
- Detailed oriented
- Clear and effective communications skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations
- Basic computer skills to research product information for customers when needed

Physical requirements:

- While performing the duty of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, reach, squat, push and pull.
- The employee must frequently talk or hear and reach with both hands and arms above and below the shoulder
- The employee is occasionally required to climb, kneel or crawl
- The employee must be able to bend and twist at waist and neck.
- The employee must be able to use their fingers to operate a keyboard or mouse in order to use the department computer
- The employee must occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds of items and regularly up to 10 pounds
- The employee must be able to tolerate repetitive reaching, handling, grasping, pushing, pulling gripping and manipulation of hands and fingers in order to lift, retrieve and stock product
- The employee must be able to tolerate intermittent noise from customers and overhead speakers.
- The employee must be able to work around heavy equipment and machinery such as but not limited to: forklift, baler and pallet jack.
- The employee must be able to tolerate moderate amounts of dust, chemical fumes from common household cleaning agents, perfume and oil scents.
