SHIFTS - All Shifts(Complete Open Availability) -Weekends Required
SUMMARY:
As the Wellness Assistant Manager you will be responsible for directly supporting the Wellness Manager while performing tasks that provide oversite of the daily operations and success of the Department. Your responsibilities will include providing outstanding customer service, ordering and merchandising, product quality control, assisting the Wellness Manager with directing, mentoring and developing staff and all administrative duties as assigned by the Wellness Manager. You will be responsible for assisting the Wellness Manager in ensuring overall department compliance of company policies, Health Department standards, OSHA compliance, support and involvement in the Company safety program and IIPP Facilitator Training. Together with the Wellness Manager you will collaborate and work in unison to provide smooth operations in the daily business and supervision of the department and staff as directed by the Wellness Manager.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES::
- Work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Provide excellent customer service
- Performs all duties and responsibilities of Wellness Department Clerk 2
- Assist manager in leading, mentoring and directing staff in an effective and respectful manner
- Assist manager in creating weekly schedules when necessary
- Develop and train new and existing employees
- Attend meetings and trainings when required
- Build and maintain effective relationships with vendors
- Assist Wellness Manager with inventory control and overall profitability of the department
- Order and replenish products to maintain proper product assortment and inventory control
- Receive large orders accurately, quickly, and with little supervision
- Run movement reports by vendor or UPC
- Build, merchandise and maintain displays
- Direct and mentor staff members while overseeing the daily operations of the department
- Assist in achieving required sales margin, expense and labor targets
- Participate in period ending inventories
- Assist with the completion of administrative work as directed
- Follow and oversee compliance of all applicable State of California Health and Safety Codes

- Education
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Supplement Specialist Certification or equivalent product knowledge
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail customer service environment
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of supplements and body care
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, merchandising, and inventory management
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership role
