Position Overview:
As the Deli 2ndAssistant Manager you will perform tasks that support the overall daily function of the Deli Department. The 2ndAssistant Managers role will focus on working in the department with up to 70% of the 2ndAssistant Managers time spent in the department managing the customer service team and surrounding areas. Responsibilities will focus on providing direction to the customer service staff on the sales floor, ensure smooth operations and oversee daily responsibilities of the customer service staff while ensuring daily meal and rest break schedule are followed. You will be responsible for supporting the Deli Manager and Deli 1stAssistant Manager in overseeing compliance of Health Department laws and standards, OSHA regulations, and enforcing all company policies.Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: providing outstanding customer service, ongoing training and development of customer service staff, daily oversite of product rotation and quality control.The Deli 2ndAssistant Manager must possess a high level of patience to provide customer service and staff development, an in-depth understanding of diverse work groups and cultures and the ability to clearly communicate in a group and individual setting.

- Collaborate with the Deli Manager and Deli Coordinator
- Control selection and spoilage of product through proper ordering and rotation of product
- Communicate events and new items to staff and management
- Prepare for, organize and communicate catering needs to all relevant parties
- Maintain cleanliness of deli department at all times
- Provide excellent and quality service to customers
- Assist management in the training, development and ongoing introduction of new products for employees
- Order, stock and maintain appropriate levels of selected items
- Properly execute Intercompany Transfers
- Perform all other duties assigned
