Cashier (Front End Checker) (Full Time)

Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Duties:
- Perform similar duties as of a Utility Clerk; restock registers with supplies when
- necessary
- Provide excellent and quality service to customers
- Ensure that customers are being cared for and the Front End department looks fantastic
- at all times
- Respond to customers questions and answer to best of abilities
- Check out and bag customer groceries quickly and accurately
- To be proficient with all PLU codes and the instore PLU Flip Chart
- Maintain a calm, friendly and professional demeanor at all times
- Walk produce department as needed to learn about new products and codes
- Pass weekly quizzes testing knowledge of PLU codes
- Follow and enforce Federal and State regulations regarding the sale of alcoholic
- beverages, tobacco and taxation
- Properly utilizing tares when ringing up scalable items
- Must accurately prepare loans and pulls as well as accurately verify and count out tills
- Follow all proper cash handling procedures
- Follow established check, ATM and credit procedures
- Aid Front End Leads and Managers in regulating customer flow and backed up lines as
- well as reducing waiting time for customers
- Request and ensure proper signage
- Answer department telephone calls and with expert phone etiquette
- Operate Front End equipment in a safe and proper manner
- Keep the front end clean, sweep floors and sanitize front end equipment, straighten up

- Clean and stock the Front End Department particularly ones own register, change
- register tape and ribbon when necessary
- Perform other duties as directed by Front End Lead or Manager
