Position Overview:
The Bakery Lead supports the Manager and Assistant Manager in the daily operations of the Bakery Department. The Bakery Lead directs the Bakery teams that produce department products and provide excellent customer service. The Bakery Lead must have the ability to perform all job duties of cake decorator, morning baker, coffee bar and juice bar. The Lead assists the Department Manager and Assistant Manager in inventory control, proper rotation of product (FIFO), and will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the financial metric used to determine pricing and assess the financial health of the department. Minimum of two years hands-on experience in all areas of the Bakery Department. Must be 21 years of age to hold this position at the Windsor location.

- Perform all duties related to the cake decorator position
- Required to perform and fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the Bakery Baker and Customer Service when needed
- Maintain, clean, organize, stock, merchandise and rotate product daily
- Properly label and date all product
- Provide outstanding customer service while performing all duties including directing the staff
- Answer department phone calls and pages quickly using proper phone etiquette
- Effectively build and maintain positive and productive vendor relationships as necessary
- Sanitize and clean equipment when needed
- Maintain and organize department as well as receive and rotate incoming stock daily
- Aid in processing and receiving warehouse orders
- Answer department phone calls and pages quickly with great phone etiquette
- Able to produce product in a timely manner
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Department Manager, Assistant Department Manager and Coordinator
- Maintain a safe and sanitary department. Report all life and safety and fire hazards to your Safety Department Representative for correction. Comply with all occupational safety and health regulations. Report all accidents and injuries to your Store Leadership immediately.
