Gourmet Cheese Customer Service (Full Time)

Position Overview:
As a Gourmet Cheese Customer Service Clerk, you will execute all duties and tasks related to Gourmet Cheese and specialty items, counter service, sanitation, stocking of product. You may also be asked to merchandize cheese and maintain a positive company image by exhibiting considerate, friendly and efficient customer service and Gourmet production in the department.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- A desire to learn about Cheese and Gourmet Foods
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic flavor vocabulary needed in order to describe taste of product
- Basic ability to successfully food/wine pairing with a desire to broaden pairing knowledge
- Demonstrated ability in knife handling, other cutting equipment and safety procedures
- Ability to describe flavor, texture of cheeses, as well as different uses of cheese
- Ability to multitask
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Provide great customer service
- Perform all duties and responsibilities of a Gourmet Cheese Stocker and Customer Server
- Maintain inventory and process load as required
- Help customers efficiently while providing them a quality experience
- Stock, restock and rotate product, including but not limited to: cheese, olives, crackers, etc. when necessary
- Cut, wrap, label and merchandize cheese
- Accurately operate scale to ensure correct pricing
- Control spoilage
- Maintain proper signage for all items
- Maintain a safe and organized warehouse and back of house cooler
- Perform all duties assigned
