Bakery Tavern Customer Service (Full Time)

SUMMARY:
As the Bakery Tavern Customer Service, you will provide excellent customer service while performing tasks related to the daily function of the Bakery Tavern with a focus on food, bakery and beer and wine service.
Bakery Tavern employees prepare and serve beverages, such as coffee, tea, smoothies, fresh juices, beer and wine and maintain a clean and well stocked department. Assist with packaging bakery goods such has cookies, muffins, pies etc. Provide consistent quality in the preparation of drinks and brewing of coffee and tea and have a passion for craft beer and wine.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Friendly and personable demeanor with a customer-first mentality
- Exhibit a strong focus on quality with an interest in coffee
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Operate bakery cash register accurately and efficiently
- Operate Square cash register for all Tavern beer, wine, and food purchases
- Answer department phone calls and pages quickly and with friendly phone etiquette
- Prepare brewed and espresso coffee drinks, juices, and smoothie drinks according to Company recipes
- Describe flavor profiles of beer and wine to all Tavern customers
- Acquires and maintains thorough knowledge of the beer and wine served
- Stock, rotate products, stock supplies and paper goods, keep all equipment and utensils clean
- Assist in putting Bakery Tavern loads away
- Responsible for opening and closing duties as assigned
- Answer customers questions or locate the best person to address the customers question
- Take regular or special orders
- Able to work quickly and efficiently
- Ability to multi-task
- Can perform various physical tasks

EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Retail experience is a plus
- 1+ year food and beverage serving experience desire
EXPERIENCE
Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred
SKILLS
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple and competing priorities
- Ability to properly operate the espresso machine, juicer, blenders, bread slicer and all other equipment required for food preparation
- Strong planning skills and organizational skills
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills, be well organized, detailed oriented and comfortable working with all levels of the organization.
- Requires initiative, motivation, creativity and ability to understand many areas of the department
- Friendly demeanor and a positive attitude
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to work independently, prioritize duties, complete daily procedures and responsibilities with minimal supervision
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Bilingual, English/Spanish is preferred but not necessary
- Ability to read, comprehend simple instructions
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Must be able to do basic math (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment.

- The employee must be able to tolerate some work in extreme temperatures while working in the freezer
