Front End Combo Clerk Bagger/Checker (Full Time)

This is an excellent entry level store position, with many opportunities for growth and learning within Oliver's. Baggers play an important role in the efficient operations of the front-end, by providing friendly, fast and effective customer service. Your goal is to create a friendly, welcoming, and helpful store atmosphere, establishing loyal repeat customers.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Provide excellent and quality service to customers by giving them immediate andundivided attention
- Respond to customers questions, answer to best of abilities and follow through on allquestions and requests
- Be aware of products and their location in the store
- Bag customer groceries efficiently, accurately and to the customers satisfaction
- Offer service and assist customers with their groceries out to their car
- Perform GoBacks when needed
- Gather and round up shopping carts and handbaskets
- Maintain a calm, friendly and demeanor at all times
- Answer department telephone calls and with proper phone etiquette when timepermits
- Face items throughout the store
- Assist and support other departments when needed
- Operate front end mobility scooter and plug it in for charging after use by a customer
- Keep the front end clean, sweep floors and sanitize front end equipment
- Keep Front end supplies and register area wellstocked
- Perform other duties as directed
Requirements:
- 16 years +, or attending high school and must be eligible for a valid work permit
- Regular attendance is fundamental
- Must be available for flexible scheduling in order to meet the departments needs
- Basic knowledge of the stores layout
- Practice safe use of all tools and equipment required by the position, know and
- implement proper lifting techniques, and immediately report safety violations and hazards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures and communicate with all Front End Staffregarding department operations
- A strong work ethic
- Ability to effectively communicate with others, convey enthusiasm and work well withcustomers and staff
- A desire to learn and grow with the Olivers team
- Good attendance
- Follow and enforce all applicable State of California Health and Safety Codes
- Ability to fulfill all physical requirements of the position
