POSITION SUMMARY

Compile, record, or process employee data and other administrative support to the Human Resources Department. May provide Human Resource support to employees under guidance of the Human Resources Manager.

Essential Functions Statements

Process, verify, and maintain employee related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, corrective action, performance evaluations, and employee leaves of absence.

Explain company employment policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.

Record data for each employee, including such information as addresses, weekly earnings, absences, supervisory reports on performance, and dates of and reasons for terminations.

Gather employee records from other departments or employees.

Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for employment actions.

Answer questions regarding eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.

Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to employment activities.

Assist in the recruiting cycle which includes, processing and reviewing employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants.

Answer inquiries and provide information to the general public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties regarding activities conducted at organization.

Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, or forward calls.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

EDUCATION

Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) or Work Equivalent, Field of Study: administration, human resources

EXPERIENCE

Prior administrative or human resources support experience necessary.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficient level of computer skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Proficient level of typing skills. Excellent phone etiquette. Must provide documentation of eligibility to work in the United States, pass pre-employment substance abuse screening, and applicable background verification(s).
