Retirement Community Nurse (Part Time)

At Snyder Village, we are looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate nurse to take on the position of our Retirement Community Nurse. In this role, you will assist in maintaining the wellbeing of our Retirement Community residents. You will get the opportunity to have meaningful interactions with our residents while using your nursing expertise to teach them good health habits.
Hours of work:
- 8-16 hours a week - depends upon needs of Retirement Community Residents
- Thursdays 6:30 AM - 11:00 AM for weekly Retirement Community Clinic
- The remaining hours will vary
Job Responsibilities and requirements include but are not limited to:
- Must have a current nursing license from the Illinois Department of Registration and Education.
- Following up with Retirement Community residents after a hospital stay or fall to ensure proper referrals are made to the appropriate services.
- Regular communications with Retirement Community Director to discuss changes in health/level of care of residents.
- Build good relationships with residents on the Snyder Village Campus.
- Take vitals
- Maintain staff records for TB shots
- Coordinate and administer annual flu shots for staff and residents.
