Parman Energy is looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join the HR team. This position is an administrative role with a focus on organizational communication, benefits, and serves as primary back-up and support to benefits and payroll functions. This role includes H.R. related company-wide communication and additional responsibilities as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serves as second point of contact/back-up for payroll-related questions and processes.
- Handles benefit and claim-related questions. Processes payroll in absence of Benefits & Recruiting Manager.
- Audits benefit carrier invoices and forwards to the Benefits and Recruiting Manager for approval and processing.
- Makes updates and any needed corrections to benefits within ADP and works with benefit carriers as necessary.
- Designs and generates content for monthly internal newsletter.
- Creates and posts company messages to Parman's Digital Signage System, ADP, and company Intranet, PEGInsider.
- Handles the maintenance of physical personnel files by processing completed documents associated with new hires and departing employees.
- Sets up workspaces for new employees in the Nashville office.
- Assists with planning and organizing company events.
- Maintain relationships with facility vendors and is the point of contact for office/facilities issues as needed.
- Works with CHRO and Benefits & Recruiting Manager to facilitate processes associated with employee leaves.
Job Requirements:
- A degree from a four-year college or university is preferred; however, a combination of education and professional H.R. experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 1-year general H.R. experience is required. Payroll experience is required.
- Time management, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are imperative for this role.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and the general public.
- A solid computer background is required as it relates to creating and manipulating spreadsheets, data entry, memos, letter and general presentations. Above average proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is necessary.
- Ability to balance employer and employee advocacy.
