Restaurant Bartender  (Full Time)

Farmington Country Club presents an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join our high-volume and fast-paced Food and Beverage Operations team as a full-time Restaurant Bartender! Our bartenders consistently deliver  high quality service to our members and their guests in a friendly, professional manner, and are responsible for setting up bars, working in a professional, responsible manner, and breaking down bars at the end of the shift.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain current knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor
• Follow all checklists for set-up and clean-up bar duties
• Prepare all drink orders ordered by service staff for members and guests
• At end of shift, return all alcohol to proper location, putting away beverages and rotating stock and inventory as needed
• Secure all alcohol under lock &key
• Maintain neat and orderly beverage storage areas
• Notify Grill managers about member and guest feedback
• Notify Grill managers about supply and inventory requirements
• Assist with monthly inventory
• Assist with other inventory as needed
• Assist service staff with general clean up when break-down of bar is complete
• Completearequisitionattheendofeachshiftforitemsneededforthenextshift
• Verify name and account number for every chit and enter information into Point-of-Sales system accurately
• Card anyone ordering alcohol that looks to be under the age of 30
• Adhere to Virginia ABC Laws

Qualifications:

• Must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age;
• Must have good communication skills;
• Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds;
• High level of professionalism is required;
• Previous bartending experience preferred

Club Highlights:

Farmington Country Club is a premier, full-service private club in Central Virginia.  Farmington is a member-owned club founded in 1927, and recognized as a Platinum Club of America.  Portions of the clubhouse date to 1780, and were designed by Thomas Jefferson.  The grounds of Farmington Country Club cover 275 landscaped acres and include the clubhouse, guest rooms, athletic facilities, tennis courts and golf course.

The club has two restaurants, a formal dining room and a grill restaurant, seating a total of 300; each has its own kitchen.  In addition, there are private dining rooms seating 100, 50, 40 and 12, a ballroom seating 250 and two seasonal snack bars.  Sports facilities include a 27-hole golf course, 15 outdoor and three indoor tennis courts, three paddle tennis courts, a swimming complex with diving and lap pools and a zero-depth recreation area, and a professionally staffed fitness center. Club facilities include 40 guest rooms.
