Implant Coordinator (Full Time)
Location: Albany, NY
Job Summary
The Implant Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of treatment for implant patients and for bridging communication between our specialty office and the referring doctor. The incumbent needs to have excellent people and communications skills and will be working closely with our doctor's organizing our implant cases and ordering supplies.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Direct communication with all of our doctors regarding implant supplies needed for cases
- Schedule implant surgery appointments and follow up appointments
- Communicating with referrals regarding treatment sequence & tracking patient process
- Answer and respond to all Implant related telephone calls in a professional manner
- Organize patient dental implant education materials – staying current on all trends
- Prepare financial treatment plans and present plan options/financials to patient
- Collect payment from dental implant patients
- Coordinate necessary lab work-up's
- Manage implant inventory for multiple systems and all orders required for implant surgery
- Manage implant return processing/credits with vendors
- Maintain accurate records regarding orders/invoicing reconciliation
- Organize team continuing education within the practice
- Provide in-service education for referring offices
- Fill in as an Oral Surgery assistant as needed
- Perform related work as required and other duties as assigned
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Travel to all three offices as needed
Critical Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of third party referral processes
- Skilled in computer applications in word processing and spreadsheets (Office Suite products)
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies and procedures
- Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions
- Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities
- Ability to be an effective communicator with patients, and other outside agencies
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal departments
- Strong attention to detail
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 3 years oral surgery experience (as oral surgery assistant or treatment coordinator)
- Previous experience with various implant systems
- Experience with digital Intra Oral photography
- Strong and proven experience using computers
Preferred Qualifications
- PTCA member
- CDA and/or DANB
