Junior Recruiter (Full Time)
Location: New York, NY 10018
The recruiter position is responsible for interviewing, testing and referring applicants for clerical, administrative, professional and management positions throughout the company. This position must possess considerable skills in sourcing candidates in the A/E/C industry, interviewing techniques, basic understanding of the company's organizational structure as well as knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Processes job requisitions and manages current candidate activity in the companys applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Coordinates with hiring manager(s) to determine best recruiting process for position(s).
- Acts as liaison with area employment agencies.
- Screens and interviews applicants, verify references.
- Extends verbal and written contingent job offers.
- Maintains employee referral program.
- Conducts orientation of new employees.
- Follows up with related clerical aspects of employment, such as employment onboarding forms, notifying the department heads and IT of employee's starting date and correct equipment set up.
- Coordinates background checks.
- Reviews weekly report on employment activity with hiring managers.
- Uses resources such as career fairs, job search platforms, social media recruiting to identify and attract quality candidates.
- Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
- Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers such as benefits, compensation, etc.
- Conducts exit interviews with terminated employees.
- Assist HR department with any clerical duties.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of recruiting experience.
- Strong communication and written skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and social media recruiting.
