Junior Estimator

Junior Estimator (Full Time)
Location: Costa Mesa, CA 92626

Responsibility will include but not limited to schedule and attend walks-thru, do takeoffs, verify specifications, building rules and regulations, create spreadsheets with pricing, and then communicate that to the client. Track projects through processes, working with architects, engineers and project managers. In addition, the candidate will be placed in a rotation program, in which they will gain knowledge from several different departments about day to day operations of the construction industry. This program helps to provide the candidate with the ability to identify their strong points.

Candidate should have a general knowledge of:

Ability to prepare detailed take-offs of all trades
Ability to prepare an accurate budget (including conceptual budgets) from DDs
Initiate and Manage Entire Bid Process (CM & GC) inclusive of preparation of detailed Bid Package to assure accurate and proper submissions/proposals by all subcontractors
Ability to accurately level all subcontractor bids
Ability to negotiate and purchase (sell) all subcontractors including the issuance of accurate purchase orders
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to maintain Vendor Relationships
Must be able to work with others in a 'partnering' atmosphere.
