Gift Shop Attendant (P/T)  (Full Time)

POSITION: HOTEL GIFT SHOP ATTENDANT

WAGE: $16/HR.

POSITION SUMMARY: Assist Guests in the selection of gift items and Castle Club redemption items.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Specific areas of responsibility included, but not limited to:

• Operate cash register and make correct change. Balance cash draw at the close of shift.
• Open and close the Gift Shop according to posted times.
• Maintain the Gift Shop in an orderly manner, ensuring counters, cabinets and merchandise are kept neat, organized, clean, and stocked.
• Maintain knowledge of Gift Shop merchandise and inventory.
• Ensure proper inventory control, by maintaining accurate records of merchandise sold or damaged.
• Assist with monthly inventory process.
• Display merchandise in a manner that will draw traffic and promote sales.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of both company-wide and departmental policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Opportunities for Internships, Apprenticeships, and Coordinated Work Study programs may be available in lieu of formal education and work experience requirements for this position for enrolled members of the Yavapai-Apache Nation.

1. Education: High School diploma, or Equivalent required.

2. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

a. Basic computer knowledge.

b. Basic math skills.

c. Effective communication (verbal) skills.

d. Previous retail experience preferred.

3. Be at least 18 years of age.

4. Able to demonstrate eligibility to work in the U.S.

5. Participate and pass pre-employment drug screening and background investigation to obtain and maintain a valid Gaming License.
