HVAC Engineer  (Full Time, Day Shifts)

Position: HVAC Engineer

Wage: 20.00/hr.

POSITION SUMMARY:  Installs, repairs, overhauls and maintains heating, ventilating, air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This is a journeyman level position.

DUTIES:

  • Troubleshoot repairs and overhaul equipment such as air handlers, air dryers, heat exchangers, other environmental changing devices, other mechanical equipment or electrical pneumatic and electronic components.
  • Install and replace all types of pumps or refrigeration equipment according to prints, specifications, diagrams or other instructions.
  • Read gauges and instruments and adjusts mechanisms such as valves, controls and pumps to control level of fluid pressure and distribution in systems.
  • Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical, mechanical, digital and pneumatic controls.
  • Maintain cooling towers, water treatment facilities and tower distribution system.
  • Prepare estimates for repairs and installation of equipment.
  • Perform planned maintenance, regular servicing and repairs to refrigeration equipment of all types, sizes and temperature ranges.
  • Maintain records of repairs or equipment requiring future service.
  • Coordinate work schedules with other departments and shops in order to keep inconvenience to a minimum.
  • Provide technical direction.
  • Service, maintain and repair all types of kitchen equipment including but not limited to grills, flattops, deep fryers, ovens, walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines etc.
  • Oversee maintenance, repairs and filter change outs on all smoke eater units and associated indoor air quality devices and equipment.
  • Investigate indoor air quality complaints relative to HVAC

·         Operates forklifts, scissor lifts, tractor, dollies and other basic loading and unloading equipment as required.

·         Drives vehicles to transport materials such as furniture, supplies or equipment as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.     Education:  High School Diploma, GED or Equivalency

2.     Work Experience:  3 years of resort or hotel maintenance experience

3.     Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

a.     Knowledge of the HVAC or refrigeration tools, materials and test equipment

b.    Knowledge of repair, maintenance and installation techniques.

c.     Skill in reading and understanding schematics.

d.    Skill in analyzing HVAC or refrigeration malfunctions from performance and test equipment readings and determining appropriate repairs.

4.     Have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by our insurance carrier.

5.     Professional Licenses & Certifications Requirements:  Certification in all types of refrigeration (chlorofluorocarbon) recovery

6.     Be at least 18 years of age. 

7.     Participate and pass pre-employment drug screening and background investigation to obtain and maintain a valid Gaming License.
