IT Junior Systems Administrator  (Full Time)

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsibility for providing all necessary Systems Administrator requirements to the IT Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of IT Technicians.

Audit IT Logs, Forms, and Reports for compliance, and ensure reporting deadlines are met in a timely manner.

Train, schedule, and provide direction to Technicians as needed or as directed by Department Director and IT Systems Administrator.

Keep the IT Director and Systems Administrator advised of incident and daily activities of each shift.

  • Maintain and monitor critical business servers and the applications that reside in them.
  • Maintain security of all data servers, wireless and systems networks, including VoIP telephone systems, etc.
  • Test security procedures per schedule and report to IT Director.
  • Maintain user security and email accounts for the business, gaming and tribal business networks.
  • Manage the properties enterprise back-up solution to provide daily back-up and file restorations.
  • Maintain the network switched infrastructure.
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot network computer software and hardware.
  • Adjust hours as needed to support the propertys operational requirements.
  • Provide support switching and routing technology, disaster recover, network and resource security.
  • Responsible for the creation of network documentation and keeping them up to date.
  • Responsible for the safety, security and accessibility of data and applications that reside on the business and supported networks.
  • In the absence of the IT Systems Administrator ensure that day-to-day activities are handled.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Education:

a. Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Work Experience:

a. Five (5) years continuous experience as a Systems Administrator

3. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

a. Proficient with Microsoft operating systems, SQL Server 2005/8 and .Net programming environment.

4. Professional Licenses & Certifications Requirements:

a. Microsoft certification, CompTIA A+ certification, CompTIA Network+ certification or acquire CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications within 6 months of hire.

5. Be at least 18 years of age.

6. Able to demonstrate eligibility to work in the U.S.

7. Participate and pass pre-employment drug screening and background investigation to obtain and maintain a valid Gaming License.
