Position: Mountain Springs Buffet Line Cook PT

Department: Food & Beverage

Wage: 18.00/hr.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible to prepare various food items per recipes and maintain clean and safe procedures and work areas.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Perform pre-opening and on-going back line, hot box, and buffet checks.
• Work on line or buffet.
• Coordinate buffet food preparation and production.
• Meet with Sous Chef daily to review special events and plan prep and production for the day. 
• Perform opening and closing procedures ensuring clean, organized, and safe food handling areas and procedures.
• Coordinate and perform all pre-shift prep, set-up, restocking of cooler, and properly rotating food items. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS (Indicate if Qualification is Required or Preferred):

1.       Education: High School diploma or equivalent, required.

2.       Work Experience:

a.       Possess general knowledge of preparations of various food items, required.

b.       Minimum 1 yearsâ?? experience as a cook in a professional food establishment.

3.       Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

a.       Possess excellent communication (verbal) skills.

b.       Be able to read, understand, and execute recipes correctly.

c.       Be highly organized and able to create and monitor work tasks with a group.

4.       Professional Licenses & Certifications Requirements:

a.       Possess a valid food handlerâ??s certification or be able to obtain one upon hire.

5.       Be at least: 18 years of age.

6.       Be able to demonstrate eligibility to work in the U.S.

7.       Participate and pass pre-employment drug screening and background investigation to obtain and maintain a valid Gaming License.

8.       Be able to communicate and interact with Guests, fellow Team Members, and Management in a professional and courteous manner.

9.       Be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as deemed necessary.

10.   Be able to comply with all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel policies and procedures.
