Starting Pay Rate:    $19.00

 

Purpose:

Responsible for properly executing Security duties on assigned shift to adequately protect welfare of Guests, Team Members, Vendors and Casino property.  Primarily responsible for duties associated with Departmental Training and/or Medical Emergencies. This is a non-supervisory position.

 

Essential Job Duties:

Specific areas of responsibility included, but not limited to:

• Primarily responsible for the protection of an assigned area, including observation and reporting of unusual, dangerous    or suspicious activities.

• Patrol assigned work areas and assists Guests and other Team Members as needed.

• Ensure all policies and procedures are performed, as required.

• Identify potential safety hazards and report them to appropriate individuals for proper resolution.

• Safely operate company vehicles, as assigned.

• Routinely practice observation of area and people for safety and security, report potential concerns.

• Provide outstanding Guest Service.

• Responsible for developing and facilitating department required training.

• Plan and administer the on-the-job training program.

• If assigned as the senior medical responder, take lead in all medical emergencies.

• Respond to all emergency incidents in a professional manner.

• Calmly and effectively de-escalate tense situations.

• Generate complete and correct incident reports and other correspondences.

• Perform all duties of the Security Officer II position.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements Education and Experience:

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

Must have at least one year experience in Security, Law Enforcement or Military in the past five years.

Must be able to pass a Title 4 background check per ARS 4-112.G 912

Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Must be certified and maintain certifications in either Emergency Medical Technician, Emergency Medical Responder, Instructor or Field Training Officer.

Must be BLS/First Aid Certified within 90 days of hire.

Must respond to all emergency incidents, when available. 

Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arizona State Gaming License.

Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.

Must have a valid driver's license without restrictions.

Must be able to respond to all incidents with professionalism.

Required to keep all licenses and training up to date.

Must be able to work at a fast-pace.

Must be able to handle stress effectively.

Must be able to work in inclement weather.

Must be available for all shifts.

Must be able to work weekends, holidays and special events.

Must be able to lift/move 50 pounds, and occasionally lift/move 100 pounds.

While performing the duties of the position, the Team Member is frequently required to stand, walk, turn, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.

Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment.

Must be computer literate in Word and Excel to generate reports and other correspondence.

Must attend State, Federal, Tribal, Casino and Department mandatory trainings and pass any applicable testing.

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

 

One to five years experience in Security, Law Enforcement or Military preferred
