Hotel Maintenance Engineer (Full Time) Job Description

Summary: Underdirection fromthe FacilitiesMaintenance Supervisor,the Hotel Maintenance Engineerwillberesponsibleprimarilyforgeneral maintenanceand repairsinGuestrooms/suites,meetingspace, restaurantandcommonareas includingbuildinginteriorsandexteriorsandpool.
DutiesandResponsibilities: Specificareasof responsibilityincluded,butnot limitedto: Responsibleforengineering andmaintenance operations of thehotel, hotel property,restaurant,meetingrooms andgrounds. Responds toengineering andmaintenance concerns. Performsand/or monitorsmaintenanceand preventative maintenance projects. Respondstoallbuilding related safetyconcerns. Maintainsdepartmentalcompliance with hotelmaintenance procedures. Supports hoteldepartmentalmaintenanceprograms andexecutesdaily, weeklyandmonthlychecklists. Dealswith Guest relatedconcerns. Maintain Guestrooms, public space,and backof the hotelare asingood repairbyperforming varioustasksrelatedto a varietyoftrades including carpentry,plumbing,electrical,airconditioning,painting,wallcoveringand tilingtoensureanattractiveandwell-maintainedhotel. Abilitytoworkwellunderpressureofcheck-in/check-outofGuests and handlemultipletasksatonce. Clean andmaintainpoolandspa. Usepower andhandtoolsto performrepairandmaintenancework. Operate fork lifts,scissorlifts, tractor,dolliesand otherbasicloadingand unloading equipment asrequired. Drivetrucksto transport materials suchasfurniture, suppliesorequipmentasrequired. Serviceequipmentusedbyoiling,greasingandaddinggasasrequired. Installandmaintainfixturesandfacilities. Performotherdutiesasassigned.
Mandatory Requirements: Three(3) years of resortorhotelexperience. Pool/Spa certification(CPO). Abilitytoperformassigned dutieswith attentionto detail,speed,accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativenessandworkwithminimal supervision. Mustbe familiarwiththe operational useof aCMMS(computerized maintenance management system). Abilityto satisfactorilycommunicatein English(speak,read, write)with Guests, co-workersandmanagementto theirunderstanding. Knowledgeofbuildingandequipment maintenance/repair techniques. Skillin applying buildingandequipmentmaintenance/repair techniques. Abilityto usepowerhandtoolsandequipment. Abilitytofollowinstructionsandproceduresinthe operation, repair,and maintenanceof machineryandequipment. HighSchoolDiploma,GEDorEquivalency. Musthave employmenteligibilityinthe U.S. Abletoobtain avalid gaminglicense. Abilitytoworkweekends,holidays,various hours ,andspecialevents. Thisposition occasionallyandforextendedperiodsoftime requires"On Call"status, which dictates various workinghoursoccurringanytimewithin the24/7hoursof operationofthebusiness. TeamMemberswhosework requires operationof amotor vehiclemust maintain avaliddriver'slicenseand a driving recordwhich isacceptable toourinsurer. Abilitytolift75lbs, bend,kneel, stoop ,andclimbladders. Ensure standardsare maintained onworkperformed.
