Rate of Pay: 20.00/hr. starting wage

Summary:Responsible for successful overall direction of both properties to optimize income revenue for both properties, working with SynXis, our distribution Channel and OTA's. Responsible for providing all necessary administrative, clerical work, to the Hotel Director, Hotel Manager and Sales Manager. Distribute Event Resumes, placing invoices into the accounting system, at time support the front desk operations when needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:Specific areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

  • Rate loading, yielding and forecasting.
  • Manage Expedia and Booking.com Extranet.
  • Work with Hotel and Lodge PMS, GDS, and OTA.
  • Create rate comparison reports.
  • Update actual to STR.
  • Build rate codes and packages in SynXis and Opera.
  • Optimize product availability and price to maximize revenue growth for both properties.
  • Prepare outgoing mail, file correspondence, reports and departmental records in appropriate files, work with inputting invoices into accounting system.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Advise the Manager or the Directors of any relevant or important information pertaining to the Hotel, Casino, Lodge and any other Outlet on Property.
  • Compose, transcribe and type correspondence, memo reports and other miscellaneous paperwork.
  • Place and receive telephone communications in a cordial and helpful tone of voice.
  • Facilitate the flow of information throughout the property, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings when needed.
  • Held accountable to a higher degree for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  • Operate a variety of office equipment: Computer, typewriter, copy machine, fax, phone and two-way portable radio.
  • Maintain statistical data for departments and prepare various reports with this information.
  • Effectively resolve minor customer complaints, when needed.
  • Work Productively in the absence of supervision.
  • Assist Sales and events with possible Site Visits if needed.
  • Responsible for the Sales and Event Diary.
  • Generates Event orders or Resumes, by publishing a weekly and monthly event forecast; outlining functions, room block and number of people expected.
  • Maintaining constant awareness of services, promotions, and events offered by Cliff Castle Casino and informs Group leaders of additional activities available.
  • Perform other duties assigned.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years strong Hotel and Clerical experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years knowledge of working with PMS.
  • Knowledge working in Yielding ad Forecasting for property.
  • Knowledge working with Hotel PMS and OTS'S.
  • Some knowledge creating forms and contracts.
  • Knowledge of Excel and Word documents.
  • Knowledge working with the Northern Arizona Market Trend.
  • Organizational and planning skills.
  • Requires a high level of confidentiality.
  • Strong computer skills using Excel, Word and work with hotel PMS.
  • Knowledge of working with OTA'S and GDS systems.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, documents such as operation and maintenance instructions, policies and procedure and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations to Guests and other Team Members.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Must be able to deal with high demand situations
  • Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations and carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form in a professional manner.
  • Must possess sensitivity to the Native American culture.
  • Must be a minimum of 18years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
  • Must comply with all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel Policies.
  • Must Successfully complete an Introductory Period.
  • Must be able to communicate and interact with Guests, fellow Team Members, and Management in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Must follow all Safety Rules and Regulations.
  • Must adhere to Dress Code and Appearance Policies.
  • Must maintain and wear uniform provided by Cliff Castle Casino Hotel, if applicable.
  • Must be willing to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as deemed necessary by the Department Manager.
  • Must have knowledge in Rate Yielding.
