Lead Casino Housekeeper (Full Time. Grave Shifts)

Position: Lead Casino Housekeeper

Reports to: Casino Housekeeping Supervisor
Rate of Pay: $16.50
Summary:Under direction/supervision form Casino Housekeeping Supervisor, leads attendants in performing custodial cleaning assignments.
Duties and Responsibilities:Specific areas of responsibility included, but not limited to:
- Coordinate the activities of subordinates.
- Coordinate, assign, and inspect the work activities of a group of custodial Team Members.
- Schedule and inspect the work of floor cleaning, window cleaning, and other special crews.
- Recommend purchase of cleaning equipment and materials and maintain a supply storeroom.
- Recommend new methods to promote efficiency and reduce costs; and initiate training programs for custodial Team Members.
- Participate in cleaning activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques, and standards.
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with Team Members, Casino Guests and vendors.
- Skill in coordinating the work activities of assigned staff.
- Skill in using cleaning products and equipment.
- Two (2) years of custodial experience or, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
- Monitor and assess all operations with designed areas of responsibility to ensure safety procedures are followed.
- This position occasionally, and for extended periods of time, requires "On Call" status, which dictates various working hours occurring anytime within the 24/7 hours of operation of the business.
- Able to obtain a non-gaming license.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, various hours, and special events.
- Ability to lift 40 to 45 lbs., bend, kneel, stoop, and climb ladders.
- Must attend State, Federal, Tribal, Casino, and Department mandatory training's and pass any applicable testing.
- Ability to use special cleaning equipment i.e. pack=pack vacuums.
- Ensure standards are maintained on work performed.
- Team Members whose work requires operation of a motor vehicle must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record which is acceptable to our insurer.
