Line Cook - Steakhouse (Fine Dining) Storytellers (Full Time)

Reports to: Storytellers Chef de Cuisine
Rate of Pay: $15.00
Summary: Performs pre-opening line check, meets with Chef de Cuisine on a daily basis, and coordinates menu item production.
Duties and Responsibilities: Specific areas of responsibility included, but not limited to:
- Responsible for meeting with the Chef on a daily basis to discuss any special events and to discuss prep tasks that need to be completed.
- Perform pre-opening line check, work on line, and coordinate menu item production.
- Responsible for opening procedures, kitchen cleaning, and closing procedures.
- Coordinate and perform all pre-dinner prep, set-up, restocking cooler and properly rotating items.
- Assist in maintaining overall cleanliness of kitchen and the line.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must prepare food and expedite tickets along with food server to properly serve each course in a timely manner in a high paced atmosphere.
- Must have a general knowledge of the preparation of various food items.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Mandatory Requirements:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- General knowledge of the preparation of various food items.
- Must have worked as a cook in a professional food establishment for a minimum of one year. Fine dining experience preferred.
- Must have Food Handlers certification or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Able to obtain applicable department licensing.
- Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Must have CARE certification or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Must have Title 4 certification or be able to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Must attend State, Federal, Tribal, Casino, and Department mandatory trainings and pass any applicable testing.
