Position: Table Games Supervisor

Department: Gaming - Blackjack/Poker

Reports to: Director of Gaming Operations

Summary: Ensures excellent Guest service and monitors game integrity by ensuring procedural and regulatory compliance. Oversees and monitors the efficient operation of games to protect company assets.

Duties and Responsibilities: Specific areas of responsibility included, but not

limited to:

  • Adheres to all Casino and departmental policies and procedures including all regulatory requirements.
  • Provides leadership to Supervisors and Dealers.
  • Must provide superior level of Guest service through congenial interaction.
  • Makes impartial decisions involving Guests and Team Members.
  • Responsible for maintaining the types of games being played, including resolving discrepancies and monitoring Guest and dealer conduct.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and tact during stressful or difficult situations with Guests and/or Team Members.
  • Maintains visual presence on Casino floor.
  • Relays pertinent information to incoming supervisory staff.
  • Makes recommendations on new hires, terminations, evaluations, and counseling of Supervisors and Dealers.
  • Keeps abreast of special events and promotions and communicates information to Team Members and Guests.
  • Ensures proper and consistent job performance of Supervisors and Dealers by coaching, training, and administering evaluations and disciplinary actions as per Casino and department guidelines.
  • Acts as a role model, always presenting oneself as a credit to Cliff Castle Casino and encourages others to do the same.
  • Maintains a comfortable atmosphere in the Table Games area.
  • Keeps an open communication between other departments and Management.

  • Maintains proper and accurate documentation on all transactions.
  • Must demonstrate reliability and flexibility in work schedule.
  • Keeps the Table Games Management informed of any irregularities including dissatisfied Guests and Team Member disputes.
  • Trains new supervisors to comply with company and departmental procedures.
  • Responsible for accuracy of Table Games inventory.
  • Initiates and authorizes table or bank fills and credits.
  • Counts and verifies beginning and ending table bank inventories.
  • Views drop box removal or shift change at established times.
  • Maintains table area for cleanliness and order.
  • Distributes comps according to company and department guidelines.
  • Maintains work and training schedule for Table Games Supervisors and Dealers ensuring adequate coverage for business levels.
  • This position ensures all support duties and responsibilities are carried out in an efficient and timely manner and that immediate action is taken on any situation that might be illegal or extraordinary.
  • Must possess the ability to perform dealing duties, as needed based on staffing levels.
  • Attends all meetings and training as required to include required Human Resources training classes.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Acknowledge Guests when they sit down at a table; always greet Guests, use their name, if known, and wish them luck.
  • Supervisors must always appear approachable, with pleasant body language, and a smile, even when at dead tables.
  • Acknowledge Guests when they are walking by, whenever possible.
  • Thank all Guests for tips and toke bets, verbally and with eye contact.
  • Make every attempt to exceed the Guests expectations and to create a memorable experience.
  • Inform Guests of Blackjack or casino-wide promotions.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years floor supervisory experience in Blackjack and Poker.
  • Must have experience dealing Blackjack and Poker.
  • Must have ability to obtain a valid gaming license.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Pass a math test.
  • Strongly communicate orally and in writing.
  • Read and speak English.
  • Have professional appearance.
  • Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
  • Be dexterous and have good hand coordination.
  • Lift and carry the weight needed to perform the duties of the job.
  • Stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Operate all department equipment.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Employment eligibility in the U.S
  • Title 4 certification or be able to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Food Handlers certification or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire.
  • CARE certification or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Title 31certification or be able to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Work all shifts including weekends, holidays, evenings, and special events.
