Summary:Provide Support and maintain a superior level of service to the department in all areas of the Casino/Hotel to ensure that the cleanliness standards of entire Casino/Restaurants/Bowling/public areas and back-of-house are in keeping with 4 Diamond/AAA standards. Support in training, staffing, and supervision of Team including Floor Crew. Monitor labor, operating supplies, and be proactive monitoring department standards. Provide support with inventory and cost-efficient ideas to control our expenses.

Duties and Responsibilities:Specific areas of responsibility included, but not limited to:

  • Knowledge of Casino/hospitality operations, including security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations. Support Casino Housekeeping Manager with techniques, schedules and any potential projects that are needed.
  • Support and assist in maintaining adequate staffing levels in the department by interviewing, selecting, training, evaluating, motivating, promoting, and disciplining employees as needed, with manager approval.
  • Plan, organize, and monitor staff workload to ensure compliance with cleanliness and maintenance standards in keeping with 4-Diamond/AAA standards.
  • Oversee inspections of Casino floor, restaurants and public spaces.
  • Support in maintaining departmental budget, control expenses.
  • Support an conduct monthly, quarterly and/or annual inventory of supplies, cleaning chemicals and equipment, standardized audit tracking of inventories.
  • Establish and maintain operating systems to ensure impeccable guest service. Exceed guest expectations by providing excellent guest service and ensure the Team functions effectively.
  • Plan work schedules to ensure maximum guest service and in accordance with occupancy, while utilizing labor management tools to control labor expenses.
  • Inspect and evaluate physical condition of all areas of the Casino. submit recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings, relocation of equipment, and reallocation of space.
  • Work with the maintenance department to develop, implement and maintain a scheduled property maintenance program for all public areas of the Casino.
  • Investigate new and improved cleaning instruments and methods.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of policies and procedures and enforce the same within the department.
  • Utilize leadership skills and motivational technique order to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction of direct reports.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other Team Members to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established policies and work with the Team Member appreciation program.
  • Coordinate training programs for current and new Team Members in conjunction with the Human Resources and Training departments.
  • Operate the department pursuant to OSHA requirements and guidelines.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • High school diploma or (GED) required
  • Five plus years working in a Casino/Hotel Resort with custodial experience.
  • Three plus yeas as a Supervisor or Management experience in a Casino/Hotel.
  • Experience in purchasing procedures and working with outside vendors.
  • Ability to resolve wand take ownership of any guest, and Team Member conflicts.
  • Must possess thorough knowledge of housekeeping operations and individual job requirements.
  • Command of the English language both written and verbal, second language a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at all times and have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must possess excellent communication (written, and verbal) skills.
  • Must maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
  • Ability to work Holidays, Weekends and Special Events when needed.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record, which is acceptable to our insurer.
  • Able to obtain a valid non-gaming (4B) license.
  • Ability to lift 40 to 45 lbs., bend, kneel, stoop and climb ladders.
  • Must attend State, Federal Tribal, Casino, and Department mandatory training's and pass any applicable testing.
  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
