Summary:Performs complex administrative work of an administrative nature for the General Manager and other executive management staff members as assigned by the General Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:Specific areas of responsibility included, but not limited to:
- Provides assistance to the General Manager and executive management staff in administrative areas.
- Maintains a calendar for the General Manager.
- Arranges for meetings and conferences as directed.
- Prepares agendas, backup support documentation, take minutes, and transcribe minutes for dissemination.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining documents and records in appropriate files in the General & Administrative Department area.
- Prepares accurate reports and correspondence.
- Receives and screens telephone calls for the the General Manager.
- Coordinates various office functions with other departments.
- Prepares outgoing mail, files correspondence, reports and departmental records in appropriate files.
- Must maintain high level of confidentiality.
- Maintain Conference and Board Room Schedules.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Mandatory Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required; College/University credits a plus.
- Minimum of five (5) years previous experiences as an Administrative Assistant and/or supervisory experience in an office setting.
- Able to type at speed of 60 wpm.
- Must have excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Must excel in organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Able to lift and occasional 25 lbs.
- Excellent grammar and business writing skills.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays and special events as requested.
- Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Able to obtain a valid gaming license.
- Must attend State, Federal, Tribal, Casino, and Department mandatory training's and pass any applicable testing.
- Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, short correspondence, documents, such as operation and maintenance instructions, policies and procedures and memos.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations and carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form in a professional manner.
- Excellent computer knowledge in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to multi-task various projects assigned.
- Ability to operate a variety of office equipment.
- Must maintain an excellent attendance record.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record which is acceptable to our insurer.
