Rate of pay: $40,000.00 +DOE
Summary: Responsible for the development, coordination, facilitation and presentation of training curriculum for all new hires to meet the needs of Cliff Castle Casino*Hotel and Lodge.
Duties and Responsibilities: Specific areas of responsibility included, but not limited to:
- Assist in the assessment of company and departmental training needs and the development, coordination and implementation of programs specific to orientation.
- Develop and update mandatory classes and materials as necessary.
- Develop, coordinate and facilitate all new hire orientation programs.
- Develop, coordinate and facilitate all Traditions programs.
- Coordinate and follow-up with departments on their new hire onboarding process and departmental training.
- Develop key metrics to measure the effectiveness of new hire orientation training.
- Develop key metrics to measure the effectiveness of Traditions training.
- Implement other company course modules as assigned for Team Members.
- Administer computer lab classes.
- Assess, research, develop, and when necessary conduct departmental training to help improve Team Member performance in individual departments.
- Manage compliance audits.
- Ensure compliance audits and records are up to date and on file.
- Input and maintain the training records for new hire orientation, Traditions and departmental programs conducted by the training department.
- Input and maintain training records using records database.
- Remain current with training trends, techniques and certifications.
- Complete and submit Banquet Event Orders for training room events.
- Consult and advise Team Members in a training improvement plan or selection of a career path within the Casino.
- Coordinate on-site training by external trainers.
- Assesses success of each activity and makes recommendations for change or cancellation of the activity.
- Recommend and purchase training supplies.
- Responsible for set-up, breakdown and clean-up of training room and offices.
- Lead by example on principles taught in classes.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Mandatory Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in communications, instructional design or other related fields, or other equivalent work experience.
- Three (3) years training experience.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Strong platform skills.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Requires excellent attendance.
- Prefer bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent platform skills.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, various shifts and special events.
- Ability to operate basic audio visual equipment such as but not limited to: VCR, DVD, overhead projector, video projector.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access and PowerPoint programs.
- Experience in curriculum development.
- Ability to work effectively within various levels of the organization.
- Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Able to obtain a valid gaming license.
- Must attend State, Federal, Tribal, Casino and Department mandatory trainings and pass any applicable testing.
