Toolmaker (007-F-20) (Full Time)
Location: Windsor, CT

Position Summary

Manufacture and repair fixtures, jigs, cutting tools and gauges to support gear and gearbox manufacturing.

Essential Functions

Work from blueprints, sketches and specifications, to determine materials required, method and machinery to be used to fabricate tools.
Compute dimensions, plan layout and determine assembly method and sequence of operations.
Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders to machine tools.
Inspect and verify conformance of machined tools to drawings and specifications.
Able to use conversational programming to create CNC equipment programs.

Experience and Education

A minimum of 5 years of toolmaking work experience.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Degree/certificate from vocational school or college program is a plus, but extensive experience may substitute for education.
