Software Engineer  (Full Time)
Location: Maryland

The Software Engineer will work to modify/develop automated control, test, and development software for traffic safety enforcement devices. The Software Engineer will also participate in the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of new products. The candidate must be able to interact with various design, manufacturing, and operations teams as part of their daily tasks. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a high performance, dynamic environment – capable of prioritizing and completing tasks. 

Requirements:
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or related field

Minimum 5 years of software development or programming experience

Minimum 5 years of experience with developing stand-alone test executables, GUI development, and large software system integration

Extensive experience with C and working knowledge of Python programming languages

Experience with CCD/CMOS machine vision cameras

Demonstrated skills in all phases software design, development, and documentation

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Proficiency with MS Office Suite

Ability to prioritize workload and meet project deadlines 

Ability to use efficient coding techniques to produce well-structured, easily maintainable code


Desired:

Experience with optical testing/design
Experience with training/mentoring
Experience in test data management and analysis
Experience with electronics lab equipment: oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other test equipment
