Fiber Optic Technician - Experienced (Full Time)

Description:
The Fiber Optic Technician is primary responsible for cable/enclosure prepping, fusion splicing, verification testing, troubleshootingand fiber optic cable repair. The Fiber Optic Technician will be required to review, create and maintain splicing schematics anddiagrams. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate splicing and field notes along with supporting project timelines,in addition to performing end to end OTDR testing, analyzing test results for acceptable loss readings, and providing close outpackages complete with pictures, formal loss results, and redlined schematic documentation. Other duties and responsibilities maybe required and/or assigned on a project basis. The candidate will usually work independently and is responsible for their own dayto day operations, production, quality control, and maintenance of assigned company equipment. The Fiber Optic Technician isresponsible for maintaining their safety by regarding company procedures, electrical safety, fall protection, confined space safety,and road work safety setups.
