General Liability/Medical Malpractice Associate (Full Time)
Location: Uniondale, NY
Rivkin Radler LLP is seeking a general liability/medical malpractice associate to join our Uniondale, Long Island office.
Position Requirements & Responsibilities:
- Experience in the areas of general liability defense (Labor Law, general liability and motor vehicle) and medical malpractice/nursing home defense including the ability to review and analyze medical records to assess not only the damages claimed but the causal relationship between claimed acts of negligence and the injuries claimed.
- Ability to handle all aspects of litigation from inception to trial preparation including preparing and responding to discovery demands, depositions, case investigation, client meetings, court conferences (discovery, pre-trial and settlement) and working with trial attorney to prepare case for trial.
- Ability to write including ability to prepare reports to client and carriers analyzing key issues in the litigation and preparing and responding to motions.
