Trust & Estates Legal Assistant (Full Time)
Location: Uniondale, NY
Rivkin Radler LLP is seeking a Full Time, experienced Legal Assistant for our Uniondale, Long Island, office to assist attorneys who focus their practice on the areas of Trusts and Estates.EOE.
REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must:
- Have a minimum of 5+ years of law firm experience and a background in Trusts and Estates.
- Assist with the preparation of legal documents, including Wills and Trusts and provide attorneys with administrative support.
- Be able to type 55+ wpm and have excellent spelling, grammar and organizational skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and work both independently and as a team member.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist attorneys with client communication, creating, formatting and revising legal documents, straight typing, proofread work for accuracy prior to returning to attorneys, and answering phones.
- Enter attorney time using Expert Time.
- Submit expense and reimbursement reports using Chrome River.
- Manage and prioritize incoming email and correspondence.
- Scan and e-mail documents.
- Exhibit professional maturity at all times.
- Demonstrate an attitude of cooperation with legal staff, peers and administrators.
