Litigation Support Administrator (Full Time)
Location: Uniondale, NY
The role of the SLSA is to coordinate and facilitate the management and coordination of all e-discovery and data projects, and to ensure the technical and operational integration of the Firms litigation support technology. The SLSA defines, coordinates, and executes the requirements, organization, and project management for identifying, preserving, collecting, processing, reviewing, and producing electronic evidence and case-related documents. In addition, provides on-demand training and troubleshooting of e-discovery/litigation support applications.
Specific Tasks
- Analyze incoming electronic data and outline project recommendations
- Act as in-house consultants/experts on document review platform
- Troubleshoot database and document review issues
- Process native files for document review platform, including TIFF image conversion, OCR processing, deduplication, and endorsement (Bates-numbering or other stamping)
- Manage multiple data load, document review, and document production projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality control
- Provide technical and best practices support to paralegal staff for small- to mid-sized electronic discovery review and production projects
- Provide training to legal and technology staff on review platform
- Provide end user and technical documentation and training for supported applications
- Generate production sets of responsive, non-privileged e-mails and other documents
- Assist with privilege and production logs
- Attend meetings with attorneys, clients, and opposing counsel to determine the best possible solution for meeting discovery requests and determining production format
- Coordinate with vendors, oversee vendor work, and manage vendor relationships
- Serve internally as a liaison between vendors and legal staff
- Identify and implement technologies related to data and evidence management, all phases of e-discovery, and trial presentations
- Conduct relevant searches of electronic data using proprietary tools
- Provide guidance for both clients and legal staff on litigation support-related tasks
- Keep abreast of changes in litigation technology and e-discovery law, recommending solutions and best practices to the Firm when needed
- Maintains organized records of media, data and productions.
- Performs batch printing processes
- Downloads data from numerous file transfer sites
