The San Antonio River Authority seeks to hire a Lock and Dam Technician to work along the beautiful San Antonio River using their navigation and dam equipment expertise, passion for the environment and out of the box thinking.

Our Type:
You have a strong work ethic and work extremely hard to accomplish the duties assigned. We feel that team building is very important so on a quarterly basis we bring the group together for fun, comradery and a time to share ideas. You enjoy using your skills to operate navigation lock and dam equipment and machinery to allow river barges to pass from one level to another. Our team members clean, oil and make minor repairs to equipment and performs daily checks of the lock and dam structure.
You love supporting our community and enjoy working outdoors. Supporting the river and the habitat is a passion of yours and you enjoy interacting with the public and promoting SARA and what we do. You look for training and take advantage of opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills.

COMPENSATION: Salary range is $15.00 hour (DOE) plus outstanding fringe benefits which includes excellent health/vision/dental insurance packages, 401a/457b retirement program, 12 vacations days per year, 11 paid holidays per year, etc.
