Description:
The San Antonio River Authority seeks to hire a Park Technician to work along the beautiful San Antonio River using their park maintenance expertise, passion for the environment and out of the box thinking.
What to expect as a member of our team:
Watershed and Parks team members work extremely hard, but they play hard. We feel that team building on a quarterly basis is a way to bring the group together for fun, comradery and a time to share ideas.
We are team players- our daily tasks cannot be completed by one person, which is why we foster a highly motivated team to work together on a daily basis to achieve a common goal.
The parks team maintains seven nature based parks throughout our four county jurisdiction by performing tasks requiring basic skills in vegetative management, general construction, farm and ranch work, facility and grounds maintenance.
The team continuously travels the 29 mile SASPAMCO paddling trail by barge in order to keep the trail clear from debris for paddling.
The parks team operates and maintains park vehicles, motorized equipment, and boats.
Team members continuously give back to the community by leading volunteer groups.
The team strives to help keep the water quality at an acceptable range by removing litter and other debris from the river
Team members enjoy working outdoors and supporting the river and the habitat.
Training is highly valued at the River Authority. Teammates attend internal and external training programs that allows them to be on the cutting edge of landscape

Compensation: Salary range is $15.00 hour (DOE) plus outstanding fringe benefits which includes excellent health/vision/dental insurance packages, 401a/457b retirement program, 12 vacations days per year, 11 paid holidays per year, etc.
