About Us

Builders Supply is the Midwests largest independently owned lumberyard, owned 100% by its employees. For more than 70 years, Builders Supply has provided service to contractors and the public for all of their commercial and residential building needs.

About the Role

As the Recruiting Specialist, you are responsible for developing and implementing creative marketing strategies to attract quality candidates and assist with full-cycle recruitment activities, including interviewing, onboarding, and general HR duties

Day-to-day responsibilities

Recruit quality candidates by creating engaging social media posts
Design and develop marketing campaigns geared towards hiring needs
Oversee company website, social media pages, and intercompany marketing
Use recruiting sites, such as, LinkedIn and Indeed, to engage with potential candidates
Refresh and maintain job postings through recruiting software (iRecruit), optimizing language to attract new prospects
Review applications and resumes, schedule and conduct interviews, check references, schedule preemployment testing and orientation
Communicate regularly with department managers to get a clear view of companys hiring needs and organizational goals
Work closely with HR manager to assist in daily tasks, special projects, and general HR duties
Other duties as assigned

Skills we are looking for

2+ years in human resources, marketing, or recruitment required
2+ years in employer branding or recruitment strategy preferred
Bachelors degree in marketing, human resources, or related field preferred
Exceptional communication skills, writing skills, interpersonal skills, and ethical mindset
Creative thinker and proactive problem solver
Knowledge of HR policies and systems
Familiarity with HR software and working knowledge of MS Office

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older
Must have a valid drivers license
Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (physical, drug, alcohol)
Minimally must be able to lift 50+ pounds without assistance
