YARD ASSOCIATE = PICKER, BUNKER, LOADER, FREIGHT HANDLER/WAREHOUSE

JOB DESCRIPTION
Load and unload lumber and building materials, receiving and shipping, pick orders, stock and count inventory, monitor quality of goods and products and complete all necessary paperwork thoroughly and accurately.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate forklift
Build loads for delivery
Load and unload lumber and building supplies
Unload incoming freight and check count to see if it is correct
Inform supervisor of any delays or discrepancies
Keep area clean and organized
Complete necessary reports, i.e., check filled orders, check materials received and forklift inspection sheets
Communicate and work well with fellow employees
Any other responsibilities assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic reading, writing, and math skills
Oral and written communication skills
Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (physical, drug, alcohol)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise. Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. Lift >50 lbs.
