JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Inside Sales Representative in our Trim department you areresponsible for selling and providing professional customer service to contractors and do-it-yourselfers. You will help customers and contractors by providing quotes and product dimension information, both in person and over the phone. In addition, you will assist customers making purchase decisions, efficiently process sales transactions and ensure the customer has everything needed to complete a project. Handling sales transactions, special orders, inventory control and communication are all components of this position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Previous experience in trim and millwork sales/customer service environment
Friendly, outgoing personality
Ability to effectively communicate and work well with others
Familiarity with building materials is helpful
Ability to take direction and participate effectively as a team member
Code and input customer orders, pricing information and additional data into the computer system and create accurate and complete invoices, work orders, and sales tickets.
Must be able to come to work promptly and regularly, including Saturday mornings

RESPONIBILITES OF THE POSITION

Sales & Relationship Building: Builds and maintains relationships with customers by providing superior customer service and responding to customer inquiries regarding product selection, placement of orders, requests for prices and quotations, complaints and scheduling of deliveries. Provide customer follow-ups as needed. Supports the outside sales program and contractor customers as directed.
DepartmentOperations: Assists in inventory control by receiving and stocking merchandise, conducting cycle counts and resolving overages and shortages. Ensures all company policies and procedures are followed including sales, inventory and safety. Assist in the Department as needed and picking and loading customer orders as assigned.
Knowledge & Training: Completes required orientation and safety training. Commits to continued learning on products, materials, procedures and more.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum education required: High School Diploma
Minimum experience required: 2 years in building material industry with extensive knowledge of product and application.
Good interpersonal and customer relations skills.
Ability to operate computer, ERP software, calculator & cash register.
Knowledge of building materials, applications, related equipment, and/or construction industry.
Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (physical, drug, alcohol).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and must be able to lift <50 lbs. The employee must be able to operate office equipment such as a computer, telephone, headset, fax, copier, and ten key.
