Reporting to: Youth Program Site Manager
Recommended Start Date: ASAP
Responsible for the implementation of varied activities including educational, life skills, cultural and recreational services for at-risk youth enrolled in a before and after-school and/or summer program.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High School Diploma and experience in youth education/programming or Associates Degree or attainment of 60 credit hours in an accredited college or university or a minimum of two years experience in youth education/programming or a combination of education and experience which is similarly appropriate.
- Ability to implement program plans appropriate for meeting the educational and personal development needs of at-risk youth.
- Ability to implement evaluation tools to accurately measure the results achieved by youth participation in the program.
- Ability to interact with parents, teachers, and other professionals to identify, and provide for the needs of youth with regards to social services, recreational/cultural activities, and education.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
- Ability to empathize and communicate with those persons facing economic, social, health, age, and educational barriers.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Good interpersonal and professional skills including but not limited to professional appearance, tact, punctuality, and dependability.
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
