Director of Grants and Information Management  (Full Time w/benefits)
Location: Westland, MI

Summary:

Responsible for the oversight of agency grants and contracts to include program implementation, reporting, evaluation, and oversight of client information and databases, and general information systems. Work in partnership with agency staff to provide day-to-day grant management and compliance oversight, data quality management, and analysis and evaluation of programs and systems.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of eight years’ experience in a related field such as computer science, data management, software engineering, information management, or social sciences or a combination of education and experience that is similarly equivalent.

·         Knowledge of Wayne County demographics, the needs of low-income persons in Wayne County, and services available to meet those needs.

·         Ability to conduct statistical analysis using database information.

·         Experience with federal OMB (Office of Management and Budget) circulars.

·         Knowledge of and ability to assist in design of service methodologies appropriate for meeting the needs of persons facing economic, social, health, age, and educational barriers.

·         Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google systems, database/web connectivity is required. Experience with FACSPro, ServicePoint, and SAGE Accounting preferred.

·         Exceptional ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form including good public speaking and persuasive presentation skills.

·         Demonstrated capacity to identify, contact and work with area social service providers, funding agencies, and consumers in both the public and private sectors to coordinate and modify services in the interest of aiding low-income persons.

·         Ability to manage the collection and evaluation of data regarding service needs, present services, and service gaps;

·         Ability to effectively provide supervision for staff and coordinate multiple program reporting activities occurring at scattered program sites.

·         Ability to simultaneously coordinate multiple tasks.

·         Ability to empathize and communicate with those persons facing economic, social, health, age, and educational barriers.

·         Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

·         Good interpersonal and professional skills including but not limited to professional appearance, tact, punctuality, and dependability.

·         Ability to work independently.

 

 

Work Hours:  Work to be scheduled Monday through Friday with specific hours to be determined by program needs.
