Weeks: 45

Work Days: Monday-Thursday

Reporting to: Youth Program Site Manager

The Position: Youth Program Group Leader

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the implementation of varied activities including educational, life skills, cultural and recreational services for at-risk youth enrolled in a before and after-school 21st Century Community Learning Center and/or summer program.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum High School Diploma.Associates Degree or credits toward associates in child related field preferred.Child related fieldincludes: elementary education, secondary education, physical education and recreation.

Minimum of two years of experience in youth education/programming: elementary/secondary education, youth development, after-school education, pre-social work, or child related field.

Ability to implement program plans appropriate for meeting the educational and personal development needs of at-risk youth.

Ability to implement evaluation tools to accurately measure the results achieved by youth participation in the program.

Ability to interact with parents, teachers, and other professionals to identify, and provide for the needs of youth with regards to social services, recreational/cultural activities, and education.

Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
