Overview:

Community Research Foundation is a $60 million, non-profit organization that continues to grow as a leader in providing mental health services throughout San Diego County. Located at our Central Office in the Mission Bay Park area, our accountants provide support to over 32 programs across San Diego County. Our operations include all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, billing, AP/AR, payroll, financial analysis, and auditing. This Accounting Assistant position works closely with the Accounting Supervisor and Accounting Manager.

Typical Duties of the Accounting Assistant

• Weekly processing of accounts payable, provisions, and cash receipts related to program operations and client expenditures
• Various reconciliations, audit reports and month-end journal entries

Qualifications/Skills Requirement

• Associates degree in Accounting or related field preferred; or equivalent education/experience
• Minimum of two years A/P and customer service experience
• Demonstrated strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with 10-key, Word, and Excel required
• Preferred MAS 90/Sage 100 experience
