Architectural Historian  (Full Time)
Location: Baltimore, MD (Headquarters)

The firm has been operating throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern regions of the United States since its inception in 1923, providing services to a wide array of clients. RK&K employs a well-diversified staff to support RK&K’s work in the following areas: transportation, traffic, transit/rail, structural, geotechnical, environmental, and water resources engineering; planning and cultural resources; construction management and inspection; hazardous waste; land and site development; natural resources; GIS, computer programming and graphic design; and surveys.

RK&K has an immediate opening for a mid-level Architectural Historian at our Baltimore, Maryland headquarters office. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

- Must have a graduate degree in Historic Preservation, Architectural History, or closely related field.

- Has 2-5 years work experience preparing Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act compliance-related documents for historic architecture.

- Is able to work well independently and in a team environment including with archeologists and environmental planners.

- Has strong research, technical writing, and communication skills.

- Is very detail-oriented when both authoring and reviewing work.

- Is fluent with Microsoft Office applications.
