Overview

Beacon Mutual Insurance would like to bring on a Marketing Intern starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be a student studying marketing or communications. Were looking for a driven, ambitious individual who wants to create a career in social media and content marketing. Were offering a flexible schedule (approximately 19 hours a week) so you continue to take classes. We provide extensive training, guidance and support, as well as the opportunity to experience the industry and gain valuable work experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborate on annual marketing planning

Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks

Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns

Perform market analysis and research on competition

Monitor social channels for trending news, ideas and memes, then capitalize on those trends through our social media accounts

Assist team members with the creation of content for social media platforms

Help in the creation and editing of content for the blog, newsletter, e-marketing campaigns, and website

Help distribute marketing materials

Assist in designing basic marketing materials through InDesign or other platforms

Manage and update company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM)

Work with our marketing team to help organize events

Requirements and Qualifications

Matriculating forBachelor in Marketing, Communications or similar relevant field

In depth understanding of different marketing techniques

Understanding of social media and digital marketing platforms

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Hands on experience with marketing computer software (e.g. CRM tools)

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Attention to detail

Photography or videography skills a plus

Ability to design and create basic marketing materials
