Claims Representative/Claims Adjuster  (Full Time)

Beacon Mutual Insurance is seeking a self-motivated individual to effectively communicate the workers compensation claim process to injured workers and employers. As a Workers Compensation Claims Representative you will advocate for the injured workers safe return to work following a work injury.

We will train you to manage workers compensation claims by investigating losses; accepting or declining claims; and partnering with employers, medical providers, and injured employees. You will advocate for the injured worker so they receive the best appropriate medical treatment for their injury and their safe return to work. In addition, you will evaluate and negotiate settlements and participate in legal processes.

We will train you to think strategically in order to formulate a plan to resolve the claim with the best outcome for all parties involved. Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Prior claim handling experience is a plus, but not necessary or required. Ability to keyboard and work in multiple computer systems a plus. Once trained, sitting for and passing the RI Adjusters License examination is required.
