Senior Claims Assistant  (Full Time)
Location: Warwick, RI

This position supports the Claims Department by collecting initial information related to a workplace injury, and processing various documents related to claim files. Responsibilities include participating in the telephone hunt group to take first report of injury calls; responding to various telephone requests and routing calls throughout the department; creating letters; assisting adjusters as needed; compiling and sorting information and files; duplicating records from imaged files, and retrieving historical data. Additionally this position will participate in the daily check routine process by processing and reconciling checks and stop payments, distributing accounts receivable invoices; and obtaining necessary signatures for check requests.

Requires High School Diploma or GED and 3 years office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be results oriented, with excellent follow through and communication skills to work effectively as part of a larger team. Generous benefit package also provided. Knowledge of workers compensation and/or medical terminology a plus.
